HALLOWEEN
PARTY INVITATIONS
Creating and
delivering your Halloween
Party Invitations is
an essential part in the planning and announcement of
your Halloween costume party. They should let the people
that you
are inviting know everything
they need to know about the party, what to expect and are
a classy way to invite your friends and family.
Once you've decided on your
guest list, you can buy the paper for your
invitations or purchase pre-printed ones. Be
sure to buy a few more than you think you'll need as there
always seems to be a couple extra people added to the guest list at
the last minute.
Whether you buy commercially
made invitations or print your own Halloween party invites,
be sure to
give yourself enough time to mail or hand them out. Invitations
should be sent out around a month in advance, we usually
mail ours out on
September first. Asking for an RSVP is actually a very important part
of the invitation. It lets you know that the invitations
have been
received, whether they will be attending and
if they have any additional questions.

The term R.S.V.P. comes from
the French expression "répondez s'il vous plaît",
meaning "please respond". If you write R.S.V.P. on your
Halloween party invitations, it means the invited guest
should let you know whether or not they plan on
attending your party, and any other information that you
may have asked for in the invitation. |

Printing Halloween Party
Invitations
One of the nice things about printing your own invitations is that
you can print as many as you need on demand. There's a
fairly large selection of Halloween
specialty printer paper and blank card stock available that
works very well for making your own Halloween party invitations. To the right you can see
one example of
decorative printer paper used for
making your Halloween party invitations.
This and many more
styles are available for purchase online and at stationary
stores. Be sure to try to use matching
envelopes if available, if not you can use orange colored
envelopes. You
can also use plain colored printer paper available
at most office supply stores and design your own
invitations.
You can and should design your
Halloween invites around the theme of your party. For instance, if
it is a pumpkin carving party, choose some orange paper with pumpkin and or Jack O' Lanterns printed on them.
Buying Halloween Party
Invitations
Visit your local card store and check
out the commercial Halloween party invitations and cards they have to offer. But remember, if you buy
non-printable cards, you will have to hand write the
information on every single card. This will certainly add a
very personal touch, but also requires more time.
E-mailing Your Halloween Party
Invitations
While you can send your Halloween party invitations via
e-mail, we think that it lacks the personal touch. But it is
an last minute option.
HALLOWEEN
PARTY THANK YOU CARDS
The week after the party we like to send our guests a "thank
you for coming" card just to let them know how much we
enjoyed their company at our event. Basic "thank you" cards
can be bought at most stationary stores or you can print
them yourself. Be sure to hand write your name on each card
to add that personal touch. Be sure to write an extra thanks
for anyone that gave you special help out the party.
What we do, is
select our favorite photograph of a particular guest and
then glue a duplicate of it into the inside of the card
before sending it to them. This personalizes the card for
each guest and will bring back the memory of the Halloween
party. If you want to send out something even better, you
can make a small Halloween scrapbook for each guest with
thirteen photograph highlights of the party.
