Costumes
- There is a plethora of clown costumes and makeup kits
available around Halloween. There are quite a few evil
clown masks available as well but they can be pricey. Go
for an evil clown make-up if you can't afford a mask.
Mae-up works just as well and it's easier to see and
maneuver with out one on. For more information and
ideas visit the
Halloween Online costume section.
Decorations
- A decapitated clown head is a good choice for the
food table centerpiece. All colors of helium filled balloons
floating around the ceiling looks good. Make up and
print out old looking flyers for a carnival that show
things like a freak show, haunted house, thrill rides,
etc. tacked to walls.
Refreshments
- Cake, cupcakes and cookies all with brightly colored
icing. Halloween punch. The food and beverage can be
served on all multicolored colored tableware. Go with
carnival treats like candied apples, caramel apples, pop
corn balls, bags of pre-made cotton candy. Check out the
Recipe section at
Halloween Online for
recipes.
Music
- Circus music playing in the background as ambient
music is the music of choice. We found one CD, "Horror
Circus", that makes for very creepy background music.
For dance music, check out the
Entertainment section
of this site.
Entertainment
- At least one Halloween party game is a must. For lots
of Halloween party game suggestions visit the
Halloween Games 101
website. You could also build some carnival games like
ring toss using severed fingers to toss rings over. If you have the space, an area set aside for
people to dance should be included.
